Careers Guidance

All Flegg High pupils have ample opportunity to explore possible career choices. During Year 9, they will experience a "Skill City" careers roadshow, which enables them to make positive decisions about the optional courses they wish to study at Key Stage 4.

For their eight-day Work Experience in Year 10, pupils are encouraged to seek a placement in an area of employment which interests them, so that they can test their preconceptions and gain useful insights. During Year 11, Great Yarmouth College and East Norfolk Sixth Form College provide two comprehensive presentations, giving pupils a clear picture of the range of choices available to them in further education. The presentations are followed by individual interviews with "Connexions" advisers Rosie and Kelly, who also visit Flegg High on Wednesdays and Fridays to help pupils who can see them by booking a personal appointment.
