Health and Safety

During their first few visits to technology rooms, pupils are helped to appreciate the importance of health and safety, and are taught to work in ways that are safe for themselves and others. For instance, aprons must be worn in workshops and food rooms during practical sessions, and those taking the Key Stage 4 Catering course must wear hats as well as aprons. In the workshops, hair must be tied back, and wearing of trainers or jewellery is not allowed. There are some additional subject-specific guidelines.
