Homework

Homework provides opportunities for pupils to work independently, often consolidating the concepts and ideas taught at school. The minimum allocations are 30 minutes at Key Stage 3 and 40 minutes at Key Stage 4, when, however, pupils will need to spend considerable time completing and improving their coursework. To help them achieve good examination results, pupils need to develop the habit of completing their homework regularly, promptly and thoroughly. Homework is entered in the pupils' planners, and parents are invited to use the planners as a means of communication with the school.
