History

History remains a popular subject, and its profile has risen dramatically in recent years.  All pupils have history lessons, normally twice a week, and sit a teacher-assessed examination at the end of years 8 and 9. Staff have extended their range of activities in order to bring history to life:  drama, ICT, statistical work, reading and writing skills are all being developed.
