Introduction

 

The Languages Faculty oversees academic work in English, History, Media, Modern Foreign Languages (French and Spanish) and our Religious Education and Citizenship programmes. We aim to support the whole-school ethos of Business and Enterprise by developing our pupils’ communication skills, literacy and work ethic. We strive to raise standards of participation and achievement. Our commitment is to the development of young people as independent thinkers and learners, active citizens both in our school community and beyond.

Presentation and communication are vital. We have models of high quality work on display, and we encourage pupils to learn how to achieve and make progress for themselves. Our aim for the future is to enhance the students’ perceptions of the subjects within the faculty, to provide cross-curricular projects and strategies, and to link classroom subjects to opportunities in the world beyond Flegg High School.
