Homework

Homework provides opportunities for pupils to work independently, building on concepts and ideas they learn at school. We all adhere to the school’s policy regarding homework, setting  tasks according to the timetables provided at the start of the academic year. Homework is an essential part of a pupil’s progress and performance in our subject areas, particularly in Modern Foreign Languages where so much vocabulary work and practising of skills is required. Homework can be set either as discrete tasks (30 minutes at KS3 and 40-45 at KS4) or will cover a series of homework “slots” and be a longer piece or project. This applies particularly at KS4 and with coursework assignments.
