Year 8 pupils look at and discuss elements of African Art. They then produce a mood-board using images from magazines, the internet and their own drawings and paintings. After discussing elements of composition, such as symmetry and balance, and using a viewfinder, they select a small section of the mood-board to enlarge and make a painting of.

Year 10 Natural Forms Project
Year 10 pupils discuss what constitutes a natural form. Using sketchbooks to record observations and by looking at the work of other artists they produce a painting or series of paintings based on natural forms in the style of their chosen artist.
